WebForger Plus

Shopify Plus level freedom and service, at SMB prices.

WebForger Plus is not a price tier. It is the service level that comes with a managed retainer. A dedicated account manager, unlimited agent edits to your site, every platform app included with no monthly fee, your feature requests going straight into the platform build queue, and dedicated infrastructure when your traffic earns it. You cannot buy it on its own, which is the point.

Every platform eventually charges you for the two things you actually wanted: the freedom to make it behave the way your business behaves, and somebody who picks up when it breaks. Most of them sell those as a tier. We attach them to the engagement where we are already inside your numbers every week. Here are the five things that means, in order.

Benefit one

1. A dedicated account manager, and a support queue you go to the front of.

One named person who knows your business, not a rotating ticket queue. They know your margin, your season, which product pages carry the revenue and which campaign is running this month, because on a managed retainer we are already looking at those numbers weekly. When you write in, you are not explaining your business from scratch every time.

Plus clients sit at the front of the support queue. Something broken on a live store is not a normal ticket and does not get treated like one. What we will not do is quote you a response time we have not measured, so the honest description is priority, not a signed service level with penalties attached.

What to do with it: put your account manager in the same channel your team already uses for urgent things, and stop routing site problems through whoever happens to be free.

Benefit two

2. Unlimited agent edits to your website.

Not four changes a month. Not a change request form with a quote attached. You describe what you want in plain English and it gets done: a hero rewritten, a landing page built for a campaign, a category restructured, seasonal pricing blocks swapped in, a policy page updated, product copy improved across a range.

This is the part clients use most, and it is the part that quietly kills the traditional agency retainer. On a normal arrangement, every small change is a decision about whether it is worth the invoice, so most of them never get made, and the site slowly stops matching the business. Remove the per change cost and the site gets touched weekly instead of quarterly.

The one honest constraint: work moves through a queue in order, one request at a time per site, so a big restructure and a small copy fix do not run in parallel. Unlimited refers to the count, not to concurrency.

What to do with it: keep a running list instead of batching changes into an annual redesign, and send the small ones as they come up.

Benefit three

3. Every platform app included, at zero monthly fee, including the ones that do not exist yet.

On a subscription commerce platform, capability arrives as rent. Reviews are a monthly app. Photo review walls are a monthly app. Shipping labels are a monthly app. Popups are a monthly app. Bookings are a monthly app. Six modest apps at a conservative hundred dollars each is seven thousand two hundred dollars a year, forever, before the platform fee, and the tiers step up as your order volume grows.

Every app on this platform is included. Not a discount, not a bundle, included, with nothing per app per month. And the commitment extends forward: apps we ship next year land in your account on the same terms. That is only possible because we are not funding the platform through app rent in the first place.

What to do with it: before you renew anything, list what you currently pay monthly for and check the list above. Most of it is already here.

Benefit four

4. The feature you need gets built into the platform, with your request prioritised.

This is the benefit that has no equivalent on a subscription platform, so it is worth being precise about what it is and is not. It is not custom development billed to you. It is not a bespoke fork of your store that nobody else can maintain. It is this: when a Plus client needs a capability the platform does not have, that request enters the build queue with priority, and when it ships, it ships as a platform feature, for you and for everyone else.

It has happened nine times so far, each time because a client migrating from an older store hit something their previous platform could do that this one could not yet. Promotional badges across product cards, a product picker for editors, collection ordering by drag, order editing with a balance invoice, merchant side draft orders. Every one of those started as one client asking a question, and every client on the platform woke up with it.

The trade is honest and worth stating plainly. You do not get something nobody else can have. You get the thing you needed, sooner, without a development quote. Compare that with the alternative, where the same request means either finding an app that approximates it and paying for it monthly forever, or moving up a platform tier and then paying a partner agency to build it.

What to do with it: when something is missing, describe the outcome you want rather than the feature you imagine. The best requests we have shipped were descriptions of a workflow, not of a button.

Benefit five

5. Dedicated infrastructure when your traffic justifies it.

A monitoring dashboard on a wall screen showing traffic and response times for an online store

Every site runs as static HTML served from a global edge network, which is why pages start fast rather than being optimised back to fast later. For most clients that is the whole story and nothing more is needed.

For Plus clients whose traffic or catalogue size changes the shape of the problem, we can move the site onto dedicated resources: its own worker and its own database, rather than shared capacity. That is already how our largest catalogue runs. It is switched on when the numbers justify it, per client, and it is not a badge you buy.

What we will not do is quote you a concurrency figure for a flash sale we have not load tested. Be sceptical of anyone who does. What we will tell you is exactly where your site sits, shared or dedicated, and what would move it.

What to do with it: tell your account manager before a campaign, not during one, and the isolation decision gets made ahead of the traffic.

How you get it

It comes with a managed retainer. It is not sold on its own.

There is no Plus price, no Plus button and no upgrade path from inside your dashboard. There are exactly two doors, and both of them are engagements where we are already responsible for your results.

Managed SEO

We own your organic growth: technical work, content, internal linking and reporting. Plus comes with it, because a site we are ranking is a site we need to be able to change freely.

Managed advertising

We run your paid search and shopping campaigns at 10 percent of ad spend. Plus comes with it, because landing pages that cannot be changed on the same day are the most expensive part of a bad campaign.

Not available any other way

We do not sell Plus as a standalone subscription, and we are not planning to. The service level only works when we already have context on your business, and context is what a retainer buys.

The site build itself is separate and unchanged: a one off setup quoted to your scope with the first year of hosting and care included. Details are on the pricing page. Plus sits on top of whatever build you already have.

Straight answer

Who this is not for.

If you want a website built and then left alone, do not take a retainer to get Plus. Buy the build, take the included first year of hosting and care, and come back when something changes. You will spend less and get the same site.

If you sell wholesale and need company accounts, catalogue level pricing and payment terms, or you need several regional storefronts in different currencies running at once, the platform does not do those things today and Plus does not change that. Shopify Plus does. We would rather say so here than after an invoice.

And if you already have an in house team fluent in another stack, running their own developers and their own apps, the value of an account manager and unlimited edits is much lower for you. Plus is built for businesses whose marketing team is smaller than their ambition. If that is a fair description, the comparison worth reading next is what a Shopify Plus quote actually buys.

FAQ

Questions people ask before taking a retainer.

How much does WebForger Plus cost?
On its own, nothing, because it is not sold on its own. It comes with a managed retainer, either SEO or advertising management, and advertising management is charged at 10 percent of ad spend. The website build is separate: a one off setup quoted to your scope with the first year of hosting and care included.
Can I buy Plus without a retainer?
No, and that is deliberate rather than a sales tactic. The account manager relationship, the unlimited edits and the priority on feature requests all depend on us already having weekly context on your business. Sold as a standalone subscription it would degrade into a support tier, which is the thing we are trying not to build.
What does unlimited edits actually mean in practice?
No cap on how many changes you request and no per change charge. Requests are worked in order, one at a time per site, so a large restructure and a small text fix do not run in parallel. Unlimited refers to the count, not to concurrency, and we would rather be precise about that than have you discover it later.
If a feature I ask for gets built, do my competitors get it too?
Yes. Features enter the platform, not a private fork of your store. In exchange you get the thing you needed sooner and without a development quote, and you also inherit every feature that other clients have triggered. Nine capabilities have entered the platform this way, and every client received all nine.
Do I still own my site and my payments?
Yes. Checkout runs on your own payment account connected directly, with no WebForger percentage on top of standard card processing. The finished site, including layout and front end code, is exportable and can be deployed elsewhere. Plus does not add lock in, it adds attention.
Does Plus include the ad spend or the SEO content?
The retainer covers the management work. Advertising spend is paid to the ad platform by you and is not part of the 10 percent management fee. Plus is what you get on the website side while that engagement runs, and it is included rather than billed.
